Made primarily from high-fired fine-grain ceramic, glaze (high-fired), gold, stones

The sculpture is made primarily from high-fired fine-grain ceramic, an unconventional choice for a work of this scale. Large ceramic sculptures are typically produced using grogged clay, whose coarse structure provides greater stability during high-temperature firing. In this work, the choice of material was intentional, serving to emphasize the fragility of the human body and the impermanence of our outward appearance. The glaze evokes the appearance of tattoos-numerous, seemingly random, and often devoid of deeper personal meaning-reflecting a characteristic feature of contemporary visual culture. At times, they become an attempt to conceal both visible and invisible wounds. With this sculpture, I once again return to the theme of stigmatization, asking fundamental questions: What is outward appearance? What is beauty?
