Surge 3, 2026
103 x 50 cm
PVA glue on glass, MDF board, linoleum, stainless steel
Surge 1–3 consists of three painting objects made by applying glue directly onto glass. The works depict bodies in states of intensity where desire, movement, discipline, and spectacle intertwine. Desire exceeds its limits and becomes entangled with systems of value and attention. Glue, normally invisible, is brought to the surface, while inexpensive MDF replaces conventional supports. Materials are used against their intended functions, shifting what is considered visible, valuable, and central to the image.
