I I II I I (GRANDPA), 2025
24 x 17 cm
graphite pencil, graphite dust, paper
After losing a loved one and not having the opportunity to say goodbye, I resorted to very specific, coordinated, routine actions. This is how the line that runs through the entire book was born. A line of life, full of memories, landscapes reminiscent of a journey. Everything was spinning and moving, and then the thread snapped. This is a book of mourning that helped me to say goodbye and bear the pain even when I was thousands of kilometres away from home and my loved ones. The artwork is currently participating in BookVision 2026 exhibition, the International Student Book Art Competition.
