Monoprint & linocut on paper, plywood, ceramic plant saucers, plaster, copper wire, tempera, metallic paste
Plaster apples don´t rot, but the originals are far gone by now. My sister told me that her favorite clogs are now covered in paint splatters − glad I immortalized the plastic things in their prime, even though the paper will be gone far before the subject. As I was carving the blades of grass on the plate, I was thinking about the garden of dandelions we tried to plant with my friend in elementary school. The garden did not grow, but the point was to create our own order. The order of the grass on the plate is exactly the same as it was last summer on my parent´s back yard, without anyone noticing.
