A crew of students takes part in an un-making of the making of a video work and discovers the thrill of nothingness. Seemingly mundane conversations and unplanned camera angles grow into a multi-hour work, documenting the process of making itself, stripped to its bare essence. Through filming and editing I explore something unique to moving image; capturing the very nature of being. The work’s structure loosely follows the dramaturgical stages of Gustav Mahler’s Symphony No. 2.
