The title of the third part of the personal exhibition, "ANY MOMENT", is taken from a newspaper article two weeks before the outbreak of the war, which stated that "... war can break out at any moment". The same words could be used anywhere, but in this context the effect is fear, anguish, disbelief, hope, etc. The same sentence fragment was used by Joseph Conrad in the piece "Autocracy and War" in April's Rainbow. "The tender, tender joy seems as out of place now as at any time in the last hundred years, not to go further back in time." The explosion that goes off from the first shot is nothing to compare to. The feelings, thoughts and emotions that have been experienced lately are incomparable. Concepts and words have become eye- and mind-scratchingly sharp and painful. Boundaries blur, volumes overlap and transform. Light and darkness are immeasurably large and no longer mean what they once did. Black is mocking coal, white is blinding pain. Ask for peace at any moment...

The exhibition “war and peace” is a series of exhibitions consisting of four separate solo exhibitions, which will take place in different places in the period 2020-2024. 2020 the first gallery exhibition “war and peace/1” took place in Hobusepea gallery. Today, the situation has changed drastically. A real conflict that tests humanity, freedom and courage every day.
Each subsequent exhibition is a continuation of the previous one, either partially or with completely new works based on the specifics of the place and the changed situation. While preparing the exhibition, one could not see what is happening now. Angela Soop (Kaili-Angela Konno) graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts with a major in painting in 1999 and a master’s degree in art education in 2018. He has been performing at exhibitions since 1997. He teaches painting, drawing and composition at Kose Art School and is an art teacher at Kohila Manor School. In addition to teaching, he works in several fields: drawing, painting, photography, site-specific installation and design of exhibitions and TV studios. At the Estonian National Broadcasting Company, he has created designs for the programs “Aktuaalne Kaamera”, “Välisilm”, “Terevisioon”, “Plekktrumm”, etc. He has twice been recognized with ERR’s best artist award. In 2021, he was recognized with a Soop diploma at the 6th Tallinn International Drawing Triennial “Impulss”. The artist, who mainly uses painting and drawing tools in his creations, has for years reused and interpreted various materials such as rusted metal plates, aged wood and plywood boards, fabrics and home textiles.
