I describe people as ancient and archetypal, more of an atmosphere than a personal image, a symbol. In my works, I aim for beauty through artistic means, my technique brings roughness and fragility to them. In my works, I aim for holiness through artistic means, not in a religious sense. I mold clay first, cast in concrete. Concrete is brutal and fragile and poetic at the same time.
A mere image of the sculpture does not capture the power of the mass or the sensitivity of the materials. The sculpture is its own world, which can be sensed by standing next to it, going around it.
There is a lot of white in my latest works. Through it, we get to other spheres.
