The artist adds: “There will also be ‘associated situations’ at the exhibition. These are small installations that I could only make in Estonia. Here my views have been different, more free and not restricted by the art market. The environment also had a different effect on me. This means that the exhibition will be about me and Estonia.”
Uwe Schloen (b 1958) studied design in Bremen and sculpture and painting in Hamburg. Since 2015, he has been a guest lecturer at the Pallas University of Applied Sciences in Tartu. In the Tartu Art House, he has previously had a joint exhibition with Kaire Nurk in 1999 and a solo exhibition in 2009. The present show was scheduled for March 2020.
