Tyra Kleen (1874–1951) was an artist, spiritualist, and world traveler in the early 20th century. She sought out occult circles and developed a symbolist artistic expression. Tyra Kleen's desire to challenge societal, religious, and social norms was the driving force in both her art and her writing.
