The confrontation between Ukraine and the russian Federation (Muscovy in the past) has lasted for more than few centuries. But February 24, 2022 is a special day when each and every Ukrainian has been involved into the armed conflict that has already become the largest war over many last decades. Later it became clear that this war will also affect everyone in Europe. And after that, every person in the Earth. Not only the worldview of millions people get under threat, but every second can be a moment of loss of someone’s life, family or even entire country.
«Trigger» tells about the real experience of people who want to live. It tells about the moments that can’t be forgotten. It tells about painful and joyful moments and thoughts that were born by this war. These events were not only engraved on the fate of one person – they are destined to become a scar on the body of mankind. Although the first day of the war united all Ukrainians but our paths have returned to their uniqueness. We have common worries, but they reflected for each one on its own way. Every day of this war we continue to live, to joy or lose, to love and hate, to lose and to win. We continue the struggle for life in this world.
Each of these artists has witnessed crimes against humanity, and strives to share their own history through the prism of their personal worldview on their own language of art. Every of these works is full of courage and resoluteness to share secret feelings and the inner world that the war has turned upside down. These stories can seem minor on the global scale but they are very important, moreover they are alive.
