A ringing installation about the life of migrating fish - their journey towards the spawning grounds. The work examines the threat of migratory fish, and on the other hand, the hope that the conservation work done for the fish arouses. The installation combines textiles, ceramic elements, and multilayered soundscapes made with cello.

Eel, trout, salmon, pike, pike, lamprey, grayling, grayling, grayling. These nine great species of migratory fish occur in Finnish waters. According to the Finnish Nature Conservation Association, a large part of these are endangered or should be watched. The damming of rivers and other modifications of the fish habitat by humans have caused the fish to not reach their spawning areas, or reproduction in the spawning areas is not successful. In many areas, the unsustainability of fishing and degraded water quality also make it difficult for migratory fish to survive. Fortunately, there are great examples of restoring the living conditions of fish, opening hiking trails, and renovating spawning grounds – both by small-scale work and by larger organizations.
