Also represented will be the Kogo and Vaal art galleries. The exhibition will be designed by Valge Kuup Studio.
According to Vano Allsalu, transgenerational questions as well as different works and authors addressing one another are one of the most exciting levels at this exhibition: “At the Spring Exhibition of the Artists’ Association, Estonian art reveals itself to be a species-rich ensemble: it is a manifestation of diversity and a meeting place for different artist identities, spiritual attitudes and visual handwritings. We will get a sense of which topics and feelings that are important in their eyes and hearts.”
Stella Mõttus, member of the jury: “Being part of the Spring Exhibition jury has provided me with an excellent opportunity to get a glimpse of the activities of Estonian artists over the past year. In the future I would like to see more artists from South Estonia participating. Nevertheless, the final selection was varied and I am looking forward to seeing how the artworks will resonate with one another in the exhibition space.”
Choosing the audience favourite has also become a tradition. Art patrons Tiit Pruuli, Jaan Manitski, Riivo Anton, Aivar Berzin and Rain Tamm have put forward a prize of 5,000 euros for the winner of the audience vote, which will be presented at the award ceremony during the final week of the exhibition. Visitors can vote for their favourite at Tallinn Art Hall and Art Hall Gallery until 7 August. Works displayed at the annual exhibition can be purchased on site at the Art Hall or through the NOBA art platform. A gift voucher of 500 euros for NOBA will be drawn from among all the voters at the announcement of the audience favourite in the final week of the exhibition.
