Lying at the interface between art and technology, Connection is a media art installation that reacts to the viewer’s blow. It offers a unique way of influencing the content of the work, which in turn raises questions, for example, about the concept of authorship. In this work, the issue is also linked to the questions of remembering and memory. While exploring the work, one can reflect on how our memories always change a little when we recall them. In the end, memories turn into stories that we tell ourselves about ourselves. In other words, remembering always involves our imagination that is linked to both our bodies and space.

{TES} is a media art group formed by Tea Söderlund, Eetu Henttonen and Sami Luusalo. The group’s interactive works offer the viewer a space and an opportunity to explore the meanings of interaction. Combining sculptural elements with sound, moving images and new technologies, the works always take shape again for each viewer and form both concrete and symbolic connections between the digital and physical reality. The works deal with universal human themes and, in these works, observations, presence and activity are linked to our interaction with our environment. Activities, events and experiences as well as complex connections between rules and randomness play a key role in the works.
