The exhibition presents a cross-section of Sven-Erik Stamberg’s long-term work, focusing mainly on the author’s photo collage art from the late 90s to the present day. In addition to the artist’s collage work, the exhibition also features a series of geometric ink drawings as a separate theme, which opens a new and still little-known page in the author’s work.
Sven-Erik’s work could be characterized by the following keywords: metaphysicality, geometry, minimalism, monumentality, poetics, suggestiveness, surrealistic absurdity, gentle irony, dreaminess, timelessness, atmosphericity, and harmony.
Sven-Erik Stamberg was born in 1970 in Tallinn and, in 1995 graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts with a degree in industrial art. Since 1997 he is an active member of the artist group Vedelik and has participated in the work of Stuudio22 since 1998. His artworks have been in numerous group exhibitions, both in his homeland and abroad, and since 2004. he has also organized solo exhibitions.
