Santa Zukker is a painter who creates landscape paintings with a classical sense of painting. He playfully minimizes the compositions, while his abstract works are based on mounds of color that are rhythmized by relief borders, creating painting surfaces with a multi-layered sense of space.
Born on August 28th, 1991, Santa Zukker graduated from Tallinn University with a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Studies. He is currently continuing his studies at the Estonian Academy of Arts in the field of Art Science and Visual Culture, specializing in museology at the Master’s level. He also studied painting in BFM art classes under Orest Kormašov. His work mainly focuses on the mystification of realism.
“Santa has actively participated in various curatorial and creative projects as an artist, gaining attention with his meaningful approach to painting and artistic message,” says KUNSTIRUUM owner Edward Köster.
Santa Zukker’s works have been exhibited in several Estonian galleries, including the Pärnu New Art Museum, Eduard Vilde Museum/Kastellaanimaja, Haus Gallery, Metropol Gallery, Kadrioru Gallery, and Teachers’ House.
The festive opening of the Santa Zukker collection will take place on May 12th at 18.00 at KUNSTIRUUM, located at Peterburi tee 2, T1 Tallinn 2 floor. We look forward to seeing you there!
