Rugs, rugs

In connection with the National Weavers' Annual Meeting in Jönköping County, an exhibition is shown at Eksjö Museum with woven carpets in a new design and with inspiration from old rag rugs. The tradition of weaving rag rugs has been passed down from generation to generation since the 19th century. Each rug carries stories and memories in its stripes. A rag weave was also a way to make use of material that could not be used for anything else. Joint arrangement with Handvävare in Jönköping County.
