The exhibition gives you a unique opportunity to experience the creative community in Rackstad and to discover how their nature-inspired motifs and crafts influenced Swedish art.
Welcome to a fascinating exhibition that highlights works from the Rackstad Colony - one of Sweden's most influential groups of artists at the turn of the century 1900. In the idyllic setting by Lake Racken in Värmland, artists and craftsmen gathered such as Gustaf Fjæstad, Maja Fjæstad, Christian Eriksson, Fritz Lindström, Björn Ahlgrensson and Hilma Persson-Hjelm, who created everything from atmospheric landscapes and portraits to groundbreaking arts and crafts and textile art.
