FRED VIIDUL, AIRI ALTNURME, TAAVE TUUTMA „Written to the drawer” in gallery Metropol Cabinet
FRED VIIDUL and AIRI ALTNURME who are interested in art and poetry will take the hero of the event TAAVE TUUTMA with them and together they will clean their drawers : „Sometimes the pencil does not sleep and the Pegasus runs to the gallops. But…who cares?” Gallery Metropol Cabinet gives an opportunity. It is time to look at the bottom of the drawer and find what lies there.
„Outsider Art” from STEVE VANONI’s collection in pop-up gallery on first floor
American artist and musician STEVE VANONI shows works from his collection of outsiders. Outsider Art is loosely defined as artwork created by self-taught artists who have no art education or contact with the professsional art world. Of course, some of these artists have become world famous, their works are represented in museums and art halls. Steve has been interested of outsiders for many years. First time in Tallinn, he will exhibit works of WILLIAM THOMAS THOMPSON, JOHN EZELL and others from his collection.
ABICAN „Betonchilbi” in Metropol Staircase
Swiss musician and composer CAN ETTERLIN (aka ABICAN) cleverly dances along stylistic habits and artistic boundaries, merges supposedly conflictive things into something of his own with creating something experimentally new. You can see his audiovisual work „Betonchilbi” as well as site-specific sound performance inspired by Metropol art commune.

March has come this time again, no matter what, and that means a festival and a lot of art again.
Anyone who feels the urge is welcome to the Metropol art commune. As many times before, we offer a lot of eye-pleasing treats and entertainment. Despite the difficult times, please bring a good mood and sense of humor. Your own drinks and snacks are recommended.
Performing Arts and Music program:
KIM-JOY and VIVALA CONFUSION belong to the Norwegian performance group „Trashy Bohemian BiPan Thruple” where they live out their most vulgar, unfiltered sexuality with using those aliases and umbrella of different fictional situations. Now they are in Tallinn and how it happened, you can see on stage.JUHAN VIHTERPAL and VILLEM JAHU play noise, KAAREL KÜTAS joins in. Puppet Theatre PAWS performs a satirical story about a single dictator behind a long-long table. The names of the nominees of FÜÜRER PRAISS 2022 art prize will be announced to the public. Finnish band GRANDIRADIO will have a gig in Metropol! Surprise performances are welcome!
