The “Pärnumaa Photo” exhibition is held this year for the 21st time. The exhibition invited photographs by photographers connected to Pärnu and Pärnu County.
This year the exhibition is titled TIME DOES NOT STOP.
Time is something that sounds both simple and mysterious. Every passing moment disappears forever, leaving behind photographic memories and emotions. We cannot stop, rewind, or slow time; it always moves forward, regardless of our wishes or fears. “Time Does Not Stop” is not only a scientific fact but also a deeply human truth that affects our feelings, relationships, decisions, and environment.
Life consists of a sequence of moments in constant motion. We tend to think we can slow certain experiences: childhood moments feel endless, the beginning of love seems eternal, and grief can seem to slow the world. But time never stands still. Every laugh, every tear, and every breath is part of the continuous flow that carries us forward. Our only option is to be present, to fully experience the moment, and to capture it through the camera lens.
For Pärnumaa Photo 2026, 138 photographs were submitted, of which 64 works by 46 authors were selected.
