Territories of various kinds and who rules over them are the focus of this spring's exhibitions at Accelerator. Physical, geographic, legal, mental or spiritual areas are explored. It can be about national borders and the right to live where you want, but also territories beyond the domains of man, life and death.

Greek artist Loukia Alavanou’s acclaimed work from the Venice Biennale Oedipus in Search of Colonus is coming to Stockholm and will be shown at Accelerator. Using VR technology, Alavanou transports the visitor to a Greek shanty town populated by Romans and makes it the setting for a modern version of Sophocles’ ancient drama. By letting the classic drama portray our contemporary times, Alavanou raises questions about belonging, inclusion and empathy
