Featuring in excess of 200 works, in which details are often key in how we read them, the exhibition invites contemplation, curiosity and humour. From small objects that can be held in the hand, the scale ranges to large objects that relates to the space and cannot be worn. Some artists emphasise the material and its story and others aspects of the process of making – or to put it beautifully, the knowledge of the hand.
Thus, jewellery becomes materialised inquiries, or perhaps a type of ongoing annotation, observation or reflection on what it means to live in our time.
