When thinking of the Nordic and Baltic countries, the first associations that come to mind might be trolls and Vikings, the midnight sun and polar nights, saunas and winter swimming, *hygge* and *fika*, Nokia and IKEA. Perhaps you have also heard about the excellent school systems and strong social welfare models of these countries? But what lies behind these myths? Sixteen comic artists from across the Nordic and Baltic regions created works reflecting their own perspectives on life in the area.

In conjunction with the exhibition, the 57th issue of the Baltic comics magazine *š!*—titled “Mythbusters”—has been released; it features all these works and is being distributed at the venue.
The exhibition is organized by *š!* in cooperation with the Nordic Council of Ministers’ offices in Latvia and Estonia.
