MAX GUSTAFSON - Contemporary psychosis! -Mental breakdowns in a digital era

Max Gustafson’s satirical drawings are sharp reflections on contemporary issues of social structures and power. His critical graphic stories are often deeply political and endowed with an ironic and powerful range. The overarching exhibition theme is the digital era, and how our obsession with it is often portrayed in its most derailed form. One of his typical characters has also become three-dimensional. Alongside the central theme, we look deeper into Gustafson’s archive material, highlighting and scrutinising his recurring subjects, including politics, the environment, class, repression and over-consumption.
