In stone lithography, porous limestone is used as a printing plate. The stone material was formed in the Jurassic period 140–170 million years ago.
The layers of time are therefore concretely present in the “stone’s memory”. Porous limestone attracts me as a natural material, its finely divided surface structure is an inseparable part of the message in my own work.
I deal with my subject in a reduced way, striving for a painterly and instinctive result.
