Exhibition highlights Botkyrka’s art history and delves into the art collection of the municipality. It presents a kaleidoscopic journey that shifts between different time periods and artistic expressions and weaves a story on how art can grow with and from a place. In the exhibition, newly purchased artworks by Botkyrka-based artists are shown together with a selection of artworks from the collection. Among artists are:
Botkyrka konsthall: Image: Agija Mikelsone, “Folkdräkt” (2022), water colour painting.
Maja Bakken, Kamal Ben Ali, Darya Efrat, Ellen Gustavsson, Anna Julkunen, Lizette Lönnhammar, Tsandra Mageba Isaacs, Agija Mikelsone, Saba Tadele, Tova Mozard, Charles Njau, Rezan Arab, Lars Isacsson, The Sober & Lonely Institute for Contemporary Art, Hanna Al-Haek, Sasha Huber, Martin Karlsson Tebus, Carin Ellberg, Bergliot Kvarnare, Esther Shalev Gerz, Jaana Kokko, Radoslaw Stypczynski, Anne Traegde, They Are Here, Lars Pirak and Sven Xet Erixson.
