The focus of the exhibition “Beauty of Colors” is the different uses of color in older Estonian paintings. Exhibited are the works from the most important painters of the first half of the 20th century, among whom stands out the great figure of Estonian art Konrad Mägi with a large bouquet of paintings. Other authors are Nikolai Triik, Johannes Võerahansu, Ants Laikmaa, Endel Kõks, Villem Ormisson, Paul Burman, Richard Uutmaa, Eerik Haamer, Ado Vabbe and many others.
The exhibition introduces the art history of that time as well as individual artists, in addition, an extensive educational program accompanies and a new documentary about painting from the first half of the 20th century is screened.
The curator of the exhibition is art historian Eero Epner, designer is Tõnis Saadoja.
