Lotta Geffenblad is not afraid to try new ways of creating images. She likes to surprise herself and thinks that each book deserves its own mood. The technique therefore varies from book to book. Characteristic of her images is that she mixes analog techniques, such as drawing with a pencil or painting and cutting out details for collage, with creating digital images in Photoshop. Her latest book, Blue Owl , has original images on paper that become even more intense in print thanks to the digital image processing.
The exhibition shows images from both older and newer books, such as Dot and Fleck , Aston’s Stones , Vi er monsterbarn , Tora and Tytte and Blue Owl . The pictures have inspired the playful and colorful design of the exhibition, not least of which is the monster house where visiting children can crawl in and put up their own luminescent drawings.
