Life in the New

Large-scale urbanism, the functional city, and people's relationship to architecture are all themes in Marius Svaleng Andresen's exhibition. The brutalist architecture of the Novi Beograd district serves as a backdrop when getting to know the people who make up the area, investigating if it has lived up to its promise as an egalitarian city in the transition from socialism to post-socialism after the fall of Yugoslavia.
