“Our students’ graduation projects reflect a sensitive engagement with a rapidly changing society and personal experience. The works bring forth themes such as the search for identity, embodiment, mental health, the impact of social media, and sustainable design,” said Piret Viirpalu, the rector of Pallas.
She added that societal tensions – from the climate crisis and technological developments to global conflicts – have increased students’ interest in exploring humanity, sustainability, and the sense of belonging. According to her, all graduation projects are marked by an interdisciplinary approach, where personal experiences are consciously connected to broader societal and cultural contexts.
