The artist Lars Kleen (b. 1941) calls his works constructions. It indicates a way of working that positions Lars Kleen’s artistry in the borderland between art, architecture and installation. In his new central work Flod (2021-23), Lars Kleen depicts in iron, concrete, glass and wood nature’s eternal movement of construction and dissolution, strength and fragility.
The exhibition consists of both completely new and some older constructions, drawings and models.
Britta Kleen (b. 1944) shows drawings for the construction Rep (1995). The presentation also includes photographs by Gunnar Smoliansky (b. 1933) from 1973-2015. Flod is Lars Kleen’s first exhibition at Norrköping’s Art Museum.
