Songs from the woods
The name “Songs from the Woods” is taken from the Aboriginal people of Australia; which instead of maps to remember, have meandering song lines to find their way through the landscape. Telling the forest, singing its song, is a way to engage with the surrounding forest and pay tribute to its wonderful and gentle presence. As the artists are invited to renew the paths and rekindle the knowledge of this part of Gamle Dal, we believe that new songs and traditions will be created from the works in the landscape.
