The exhibition displays one of the conditions for existence. We are beings who inevitably participate in the world. Every small decision changes the course of events in some way and ultimately affects all of us. Choosing not to decide is also a decision. By allowing others’ decisions to take place, we consciously determine the path ahead just as surely as if we had made the decisions ourselves.
As conscious beings, we bear a responsibility to the world. Believing it is better not to interfere or participate, thinking we are independent, we try to separate ourselves from the rest of the world as if some wall could shield us from what is happening outside. But this is a fallacy, because there is no inner and outer world, there is only one world. And the world will not allow itself to be forgotten. That is why there are always windows in our walls, through which light finds a way in.
