Judita Levitnerova (1994, Czech Republic) is a graduate of the Brno University of Technology, Faculty of Fine Arts and has studied in Ostrava, Warsaw and Riga. Exhibited in Prague (City Surfer Gallery, Holešovická Šachta, Garage Gallery), Brno (Experimental Theater Center – Terén, Zaazrak Dornych), Berlin (Sinkhole project), Bucharest (Czech Centrum).
Her artistic practice is based in the field of media, from painting, contemporary forms of informal to performative installations, online projects and mostly textile objects. She likes to use the sports, hi-tech and “functional” aesthetics of commercial clothing and outdoor equipment, as well as the relations of fashion and body. The world of fashion inspires her mainly for its interest at the surface and the interface between the inner and outer.
The installation “Earth at the Bottom of the Car” has previously been exhibited in various variations, transforming into performance scenography (in collaboration with the contemporary theater platform “Teren”, Brno), as well as the open-air exhibition “Czech Centrum” in Bucharest.
