I have dealt with cuteness aesthetics in my art. I am particularly fascinated by how cuteness can be seen as a political force that breaks down toxic structures. The exhibition consists of sculptures made of different materials and colored plaster mixed with traditional painting. In my works, I deal with the cuteness, affectivity and other kinds of realities of objects by means of fantasy.
Jani Lamminmäki is a visual artist from Turku who uses different techniques in his work. He graduated from Turku University of Applied Sciences’ visual arts education in 2020. In addition to visuals, Lamminmäki works with experimental sound.
