Mental turbulence is a direct reflection of the current social situation. It is a state of confusion for a person who is struggling to understand things / surroundings. In this condition, the person is not able to make a proper decision according to the situation. Permanent disturbances may occur. How is our current society able to make vital decisions in this psychophysical space? Do artists have to offer society alternative solutions and operating models? Can a divine secondary modeling system, using mental turbulence, through its vast reality laser printer, create a modern alchemical equation that eliminates world problems and creates a new, natural and human-friendly world.

Joseph Ravens (b.1968) has presented his work throughout Asia, Europe, South America, and the US. He studied audiovisuals at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and is a graduate of The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with an MFA in Performance. Ravens is a two time recipient of the Illinois Arts Council Fellowship for New Performance Forms. Other grants, awards, and opportunities have allowed him to build an international reputation. Ravens was included in Live Biennale Vancouver (Canada 2015); 20th Bienal Internacional de Curitiba (Brazil 2013); Venice International Performance Art Week (Italy 2012); and Intrude: Art and Life 366 at Zendai MoMA, Shanghai (China 2008). Ravens is founder and director of Defibrillator Gallery, and co-founder and director of Rapid Pulse International Performance Art Festival.

Non Grata is a performance group that travels constantly all over the world – Asia-America-Europe – with performances and Diverse Universe Nomadic Performance festival.
The main characteristics of the members are anonymity in group work, ignorance
of the local art world and mass media. Non Grata manifests creative freedom and Storm Generation and physically links the world wide creative network.
Around the name NON GRATA there have been different hushes and shushes for a long time. Already from the point of view of death of conventionalization of art it has embodied the horrible and unwanted disembodiment of the human person, from which the meaninglessness of nowadays art, is pouring out. For those, whose world of arts starts from the point, where the art world ends, NON GRATA has been a liberator, the orphic gap in the seemingly unalterable course, which however betrays us, it is a cure from incest. The main point of the group is ethical – it is the image of primitivism, impersonality and experimental creativity. The performances of the group take place according to the logic of avoiding codes. The presentations are physical texts, whose ways of orthography and reading are kept within limits of real actions by the group members. Aesthetical and provocative challenges are represented in places where the Art World doesn’t work.

Tomasz Szrama (b. 1970 in Poland) graduated in 1998 from the Academy of Fine Arts in Wroclaw, Poland. Currently he lives in Helsinki, Finland. Szrama shifts between multiple disciplines, including photography, video and other time-based works. Regardless of the medium, a dominant thread, common in his work is the use of his own body and methods of performance art, which he practices since 1995. Characteristic feature of his work is the use of spectators, active participation of the audience and improvisation. Such a strategy embeds his presentations into the tradition of understanding performance art as a process art, where the very moment of creation is essential. His work touches on themes of travel, trust in interpersonal relationships, and the ever present potential for personal failure.

Maija Kivi
As a visual artist I like to combine different materials and techniques to fuel the creative process. Drawing and painting are the backbone of my work, the place where my stories and characters come from. The alluring glittery pop aesthetics are reminiscent of the nostalgic world of childhood that distorts like a mirage in the looking glass when you try to reach it. My characters have escaped into a dreamland of fantasy, forever writhing in agony and ecstasy of innocence lost, absolutely alive.

Inari Virmakoski (b.1941) is a Finnish visual artist and performance artist. She reacts to local situations, performing rituals and site-specific performances. Virmakoski is enjoying of a large global performance art family and the ephemeral, disappearing nature of our art.
Joonas Jokiranta (born in 1980 in Köyliö, Finland) creates visual poetry, physical essays and absurd yet truthful statements which explore the past, the present, the dystopia and the forgotten utopias. Non-politically and politically, he intertextualizes everything. Jokiranta considers his work as traces of performance and stains of existence which, like messages in a bottle, he releases out to sea. Using video, sound, paint, objects, various materials and his own body, he offers the audience a chance to join the spiritual yet shallow journey through decadence in the post-industrial society.
