With his dramatic brushstrokes and sharp colors, Vincent van Gogh had a completely unique expression. In Imagine Van Gogh, you step right into world-famous motifs such as Starry Night, Sunflowers and Irises . The experience is further enhanced by the Artbox’s impressive ceiling height of 12 meters and music by Mozart, Bach, Saint-Saëns, Delibes and Satie.
Vincent van Gogh was a post-impressionist artist and one of the main pioneers of expressionism. He is widely known for his artistic work. In just under a decade as an active artist, he created over 2,000 works of art, of which around 900 were oil paintings. van Gogh’s distinctive style is characterized by impulsive, rich brushstrokes, bright colors, glowing landscapes, expressive portraits and vibrant still lifes.
The experience begins in the educational room where you get to know more about van Gogh, who he was, his artistry and technique as well as the different periods that have characterized his work.
The introduction leads further into the Artbox, where van Gogh’s works are projected onto walls, floors and screens to the sounds of classical music. For the best experience, it is recommended to take in the works from several different angles, wander around the room and let yourself be absorbed by van Gogh’s painting.
