Lukas Cornix, Amund Öhrnell, Ruben Risholm,
Carin Alegre Castegren 7/9 – 20/10
Lukas Cornix born in 1993 in Växjö, lives and works in Malmö. For the past two years, his painting has mainly been done on paper. It is beneficial as it suits his practice and process. Cornix works very quickly and intuitively. But above all, it is important for his investigation of mixed techniques and the painterly gestures he seeks. The painting Cornix seeks takes place outside the paintings. Ideas born from the margins. Stains and paint splatters that occur on studio walls. Amund Öhrnell , (b. 1995) works with drawing, painting, video and installation. In his pictorial world, depictions of nature and man's desire to encapsulate and understand it recur. Amund graduated from the art college in Malmö in 2022 and currently lives and works in Malmö. Ruben Risholm (b. 1993) is a sculptor and draftsman, with a master's degree (2022) from the University of the Arts in Malmö and studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Helsinki. Materials that return are wood and ceramics. His art is about love, life and death.
Carin Alegre Castegren (b. 1999) is currently attending the University of the Arts in Malmö, where she is studying in the last year of her master’s education. She works with painting and the process has a central role in the work: the very search for forms becomes an important part of the motif that is portrayed. On the surface of the painting, several layers of changes and
contradictions are visible, they become fragments that together create a unified image. The painting thus becomes a window into a living world of thought in constant change and search: a representation of a communication between an inner and outer world
