As a child, when I looked at a moss-covered stone wall full of holes and complex structures, I saw a breathtaking multi-layered city of tiny creatures, their homes and mines, gardens and paths, endless possibilities.
Frans Nybacka (b. 1993, Kangasala) is a multi-disciplinary artist who lives and works in Helsinki. He has studied at the Aalto University Department of Art and, in addition to visual arts, he has made a name for himself by making music videos and tattoos. His works have been on display at several group exhibitions, ranging from traditional galleries to artist-run forest and home exhibitions. Nybacka’s second solo exhibition focuses on the artist’s greatest passion – painting.
