The exhibition takes visitors into a sci-fi dystopian landscape, where every step and footprint tells a story about the fragility of nature, its preservation, and climate change. The large-scale diorama by Liene Pavlovska and Oskars Pavlovskis offers an immersive experience, inviting you to step into the shoes of an explorer or observer.
Liene Pavlovska is an artist and spatial designer. She is interested in how the built environment reveals societal collective and individual dreams and desires, and how the environment determines these aspirations. With a scenography background, Liene often uses theatrical methods of expression and her research mostly manifests as immersive multimedia installations.
Oskars Pavlovskis is an artist and illustrator based in Riga. He is interested in visual storytelling by creating fictional characters and stories that are inspired and borrow elements of his surroundings. The artist is interested in the margin between beautiful and ugly, scary and cute. By mixing and blending these elements he aims to create a universe of characters that inhabits this border. Pavlovskis visual language combines various digital and analog illustration techniques, academic drawing, comics, sculpture and 3D computer graphics.
