In a unique exhibition, we now get to meet one of the biggest internationally recognised Swedish film director, screenwriter and cinematographer – Jan Troell shares a lifetime of photographs, drawings, cameras, stories and sculptures.
In the exhibition, we get to follow him from his childhood games with the camera to Golden Beetle-winning feature films. Jan Troell can look back on a long and successful career. He has made over twenty feature films and a number of documentaries and short films. With films such as Här har du ditt liv, Utvandarna og Nybyggarna, So white som en snö and Maria Larsson’s eternal moment, Jan Troell has written himself into Swedish film history.
Few have won as many Guldbaggars as Jan Troell and in 2001 he received Region Skåne’s cultural award for his life’s work.
In connection with Jan Troell’s 90th birthday in the summer of 2021, Trelleborg’s museum produced the exhibition that we are now showing at the Kristianstad Regional Museum. The exhibition is produced by Trelleborg’s museum with the support of Region Skåne. Photo: Johan Bergmark
