Eva Lange gently moves her sandpaper over the surface of the plaster. She finds her way into the basic form of the volume in a sensuous search for life. The volume is stretched, it widens and skews, becomes human. Fragile geometry, a ball, a cylinder, a stand that tells about clouds and about body, about memories and emotions. And the work on the sandpaper continues tirelessly day in and day out to find just the exact expression – nothing else.
Per Kesselmar layeres thin layers of paint on his hard surface, aluminium and iron with a roller. The result is paintings filled with infinity. The works open up for our entry. It’s subtle, it’s beautiful. This is art without compromise. Art occupied by the complications of life, art that is about finding a light in the dark.
