R Gallery, located in the studio store Karud ja Pojad, is hosting Ebrahim Bakhshayesh's exhibition "The Art of Miniatures: A JOURNEY THROUGH A SENSE OF PLACE"
The exhibition features realistic models of places in Tartu and Tallinn created by Ebrahim Bakhshayesh – Barlova, Ümarlaua Bar, Karu Bar, Karlova Kohv, Spot restaurant, Tartmusi facade and HAKI gallery.
Each model has been made with extreme precision to convey the essence and atmosphere of the place. Through miniatures, one can recall moments, memories and stories that once happened in these places. The author’s goal is to capture and convey the charm and history of these places, offering viewers the opportunity to experience them in a completely new way.
There is another exhibition within the exhibition.
HAKI gallery, which closed its doors in December last year, is revived as the HAKI gallery museum in a detailed model created by Ebrahim and presents its first exhibition, Edward von Lõngus’s “The Many Faces of President Päts”.
Ebrahim Bakhshayesh is from Iran. He studied at the University of Tehran. He has lived in Estonia since 2015. In 2022, Ebrahim opened a studio in Estonia and began making miniature models of real places in Tartu and Tallinn.
