DANIIL LOGOVOI
FAUST’S WEB NOTES
November 18, 2024 – January 5, 2025
Gallery Metropol 6 m2 and Metropol Cabinet
(Vana-Kalmaja 46, Tallinn)
Metropol Gallery’s long summer break is finally over and we present to you the next exhibition that will test your schooling and glues together our daily existence and virtual reality.
Daniil Logovoi (b. 2003) is a young artist who grew up in Tallinn and received his art education in Tartu. He started as a street artist and progressed to installations and performance through illustration and web design. Daniil presents himself as an artificially intelligent art robot and his creative projects connect themes from religion, cultural history and pop culture into a computer-gamey whole.
He says this about the exhibition: “The key moment comes when Faust turns to “cyber magic” in search of answers and tries to hack the code of the universe. In the process, he picks up a virus that gradually sucks the programmer studying religious technology into the endless twists and turns of the dark web.”
