By weaving dreams and secret thoughts into tapestries, the authors invite us to think along on the topics that concern them most. The exhibition presents a cross-section of Estonian authors’ tapestry works, offering an opportunity for new discoveries and meetings with familiar artists. The works were created in different centuries, the changing preferences of past decades can be sensed in the figurative language, but the themes are often timeless. The tapestries and woven blankets selected for the exhibition include works from the collection of the Estonian Museum of Applied Arts and Design and the authors’ creations of recent years from their private collections. The exhibition is complemented by a selection of tapestries by students of the Pallas Textile Department.
