This year, the Pärnu City Gallery celebrates Pärnu Day with artists from Pärnu’s sister cities. The joint exhibition of artists from Pärnu, Jelgava and Šiauliai “B3: Looking back” will be opened in the Town Hall Gallery of Pärnu City Gallery, and the exhibition “Observations” of Vaasa Artists’ Association will be opened in the Artists’ House of Pärnu City Gallery.
25 years ago, the first joint exhibition of artists from Pärnu and Pärnu’s twin cities Jelgava (Latvia) and Šiauliai (Lithuania) took place.
Since then, joint exhibitions and various art events have taken place consistently every year, with the twin cities taking turns as invitees. In 2022, a joint exhibition took place in Šiauliai, in 2023 in Jelgava, and in 2024, the Pärnu will once again have the pleasure and honor of welcoming their friends. The exhibitions have received the common name B3 according to the three Baltic citites.
Participants in the exhibition: Živile Žverūna (Lithuania), Vaiva Kovieraitė-Trumpė (Lithuania), Dainius Trumpis (Lithuania), Virginijus Kinčinaitis (Lithuania), Bronius Rudys (Lithuania), Romanas Vilkauskas (Lithuania), Mārīte Leimane (Latvia), Jānis Leimanis ( Latvia), Kate Seržāne (Latvia), Laura Vizbule (Latvia), Üllar Kallau (Estonia), Alar Raudoja (Estonia), billeneeve (Estonia), Pusa (Estonia), Haide Rannakivi (Estonia), Andrus Joonas (1970-1921) (Estonia).
The exhibition will remain open until April 27, 2024.
