Anna Anundi (b.1990, they/them , Academy of Fine Arts 2021-) currently works mainly with painting and performance. What is being spun are milky relationships of experientiality and sensation that ripple, effervesce and tear. In the stream of liquid wandering essence, Anundi dreams of reorganizing hierarchical and destructive practices. He knows vulnerability, compassion and non-violent love as a rebellious force for change.
Anundi’s work Abbracciati ( Embrace yourself) is a glimpse of tenderness. It takes care. Makes a proposal about the reality of the future and reminds of its different levels, mirroring. It is curious and wants to ask. Admit your mistake and apologize. Recreate your skin and get another chance. It acknowledges sensitivity and forgets cynicism. Shatters boundaries and connects with satin ribbons. In its embrace, layered pain and big tears are released when you dare to say goodbye.
