AURA KAJANIEMI: AFTER THE DARK
our eyes meet
you are my friend
my reflection
unintentional altar cloth
before me
pierced by light
nights are getting brighter
and we meet more often
you look towards me and then away again
to somewhere I can’t see
The exhibition deals with the space in between and inside people, how dissolving memories burst into faded out flashes of never-ending repeating moments of similarity.
Aura Kajaniemi (born 1986) is a Helsinki-based artisti who embroiders pictures out of beads. Small glass bead particles turn into pictures that let light pass through. The photo-like portraits are moving with the perspective of the spectator.

IIDA PII: I LEAVE THE LIGHT ON
It’s dark behind the eyes I leave the light on
Nightmare about sleeping alone
The main materials of my works are thoughts and feelings. Sometimes, to assemble them, I also need to purchase and make different utensils.
I follow a pale blue thread.
From the edges of mind maps, you can find crumbs that attract each other, condensing what is essential between them.
Everything connects with
-dashes
-Blu-Tack
-unspoken agreements -extended Lundia shelves
Iida Pii (born 1989) is an artist who moves towards ideas that spark interest and curiosity from a perspective where ordinary things reveal themselves in new light. Pii works with juxatoposition where she brings different subjects and materials loosely together creating spaces where the spectator struggles to find a simple solution or a means to an end.
