Street art is often associated with big cities such as Berlin, New York, or London, but this exhibition is about the street art scene of Tartu, a small town. It's about how in a small, wooden university town, a street art culture emerges that aims to make the shared urban space more meaningful, inclusive, and welcoming. The traveling exhibition opened in 2022 in Berlin, Germany, and in 2023 in Scotland at the NuArt Aberdeen festival. Now it can be seen in Krull Quarter, Tallinn.
The exhibition is inspired by the attitude of bringing the desired change yourself instead of waiting for someone else to do it for you. The show also looks at how street artists play with the limits of the law through the prism of humor.
The exhibition is curated by Kadri Lind and Sirla and representing the following artists:
KAIRO
Edward von Lõngus
Stina Leek
GUTFACE
müra2000
TAF
