The exhibition juxtaposes the documentation of his performances with his graphic art from various decades, including the present.

Buoyed by the winds of perestroika in the late 1980s, Siim-Tanel Annus (1960) appeared on the international scene as a unique performance artist. During the profound stagnation years, he created mystical semi-secret performances in his garden. The most famous was Passages (1987), which was accompanied by Ariel Lagle’s original music. Today, the artist has moved on from the performances that brought him fame as an artist in the past, and deals primarily with pictorial creation, which also inspired his past performances.

Curator: Liis Kibuspuu (Tallinn University).
