Today, the whole world is waiting for the days to pass again in normal rhythm without any restrictions or closures. The experienced impressions of the rhythm of nature have been captured on bone china with repetitions of different surfaces, structures as well as similar objects. The work completed in recent years is presented.
Merike Hallik (1965) graduated from the Estonian Academy of Arts with a degree in ceramics in 1990 (MA). She has worked as a freelance artist as well as as an art teacher and adult educator.
Founder and director of the ARS Ceramics Center, opened last year in Tallinn. Member of the Estonian Artists’ Union and member of the Estonian Ceramics Association. Participates in exhibitions since 1998. Participated in numerous domestic and foreign international group exhibitions. Work with an awarded diploma (Croatia). She has had 16 solo exhibitions in Finland, Estonia, Croatia and the Czech Republic. Participated in symposia, conferences, residencies in Australia, China, Czech Republic, Finland, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Works in collections: Estonian Museum of Applied Art and Design, Black Ceramics Center, Vilnius, Lithuania, Cesky Krumlov Ceramics Center, Czech Republic, Ceramics Center Plemenitaš, Croatia, Nobel Seafood Restaurant, Shanghai, Haian, PRC and private collections around the world.
